Clancy and Madeleine are the creators of the website “Recipes from Mauritius” that pioneered the presence and promotion of Mauritian Cuisine on the internet since 1994. In fact, this web site that formed part of the parent Mauritius Australia Connection webpages, was the first ever website to be published about Mauritius.
In 2018, the book “Best of Mauritian Cuisine” was published containing Madeleine’s recipes that became very popular worldwide on our website “Recipes from Mauritius”. This book won the world-famous Gourmand Cookbook “Best in the World” Awards in two categories. Clancy went to Yantai, China in 2018 to receive the awards.
Clancy since the passing of Madeleine, continues to promote Mauritian Cuisine in Australia and worldwide. The book “Best of Mauritian Cuisine” is now available in Australia and online worldwide through retailers such as Amazon and others.
This “www.caripoule.com” blog has been created to promote and create awareness of the multicultural elements of Mauritian Cuisine; in particular, to celebrate the richness and diversity of Mauritian Cuisine and its history.
